Miranda Ellis – Psychotherapist

Miranda is an experienced Cognitive Analytic Therapist with over 20 years of clinical practice within the NHS across diverse mental health settings. She is registered with ACAT -Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy and HCPC. Currently, Miranda works within a multidisciplinary NHS psychological therapy service offering individual and group therapy.

Her expertise includes working with relational difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, relational trauma and emotional dysregulation. She focuses on identifying and understanding recurring patterns that contribute to distress and overwhelm, helping clients develop new ways of relating and coping.

Miranda adopts a collaborative and integrative approach, tailoring therapy to build a shared understanding of current challenges while considering the influence of past experiences. Drawing on her experience with therapy models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, and mentalisation-based approaches, Miranda adapts treatment to meet individual needs.

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) incorporates tools such as relational mapping and therapeutic letter writing to support this process.

She offers a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can explore difficulties and discover meaningful, lasting change.
