I’m a Clinical Psychologist based in Oxford with more than 10 years’ experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a range of settings.
At the heart of my practice is my belief that a strong therapeutic relationship can greatly support meaningful and lasting change, offering a foundation of trust, safety, and collaboration. While change can happen in different ways, I see the relationship as a powerful and often central part of the therapeutic process. I prioritise creating a compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. I see therapy as a joint process, where trust and understanding are built together over time. I am committed to providing care that is thoughtful and that honours each individual’s strengths, values, and lived experiences.
I would describe my therapeutic style as relational and as integrative. I tend to work best drawing flexibly from a range of evidence-based models to meet each person’s unique needs. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and third wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT). I often find it helpful to weave in aspects of systemic, narrative and psychodynamic theory to help me think with – and about – clients I work with.
My clinical experience spans a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, low mood, body image concerns, trauma, self-harm, and relational difficulties. I have a particular interest in working with eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and other forms of disordered eating that may be linked to and maintained by broader issues going on in a person’s life. I also work part time in the NHS in a specialist eating disorders service.
